Midseason NFL Draft Race Heats Up as Jaguars, Giants, and Titans Vie for Top 2025 Pick

Date:

As the NFL season crosses its midpoint, many teams are eyeing the playoffs, but others are beginning to set their sights on a different prize: the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

While the Carolina Panthers have shown a recent spark, the New York Giants and Jacksonville Jaguars have struggled, positioning themselves as frontrunners for the top draft pick.

The Giants, with their fifth straight loss after falling to the Panthers in Germany, join five other teams tied with only two wins this season. Currently, the Jaguars lead the pack for the No. 1 pick, with CBS Sports and Tankathon breaking down the draft order based on win-loss records and strength of schedule.

Here’s a look at the current draft order and top team needs following Week 10:

  1. Jaguars (2-8): Needs: CB, OT, S | Key free agents: QB Mac Jones, OT Walker Little, S Andre Cisco
  2. Giants (2-8): Needs: QB, CB, WR | Key free agents: WR Darius Slayton, LB Isaiah Simmons
